Frequently Asked Questions

Check with your child's school. Choose an activity. Click on the activity. Fill out the registration form. You will receive confirmation of your registration.

Registration is not automatic placement.

Please sign your child out with the teacher of the activity via WhatsApp or send an email to info@lolnaschool.nl.

Yes, if there is space you will receive a confirmation in the mail immediately. The information you need is in the confirmation email (and also with the activity - e.g. whether you need to bring special clothes).

If there is not a place immediately, your application will be placed on a waiting list. You will also receive an email about this.

As soon as a spot becomes available, the next on the waiting list will be automatically invited by email.

Once you receive an email that your child has been placed, your child can start.

All information such as location and time is in the confirmation email and also with the activity on our site.

We often hear that our emails end up in the SPAM box (junk mail). Don't have a message there either? Ask your school's principal or email us at info@lolnaschool.nl.

No, there are no classes in the vacations Lol na school (EXCEPT if the teacher of the activity has indicated it himself via WhatsApp or a letter).

Communication is through the teacher. He/she may contact you by phone in case of emergency.

Our teachers can also use WhatsApp. Of course, you can also contact the teacher that way.

All our employees have a Certificate of Good Conduct. Most of them are also trained FAFS or first aiders.

Our teachers typically work alone in the group, with a backup colleague remotely. In the event of an emergency, teachers contact the parent(s) and the backup colleague. The backup colleague goes directly to the location of the activity.

Backup is often available on site (community center, school).

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the class (for all or -any- participant(s)), the teacher will contact you. We ask for your cooperation in picking up your child as soon as possible.

You can check in with us if you have any questions/complaints or comments at info@lolnaschool.nl.

Because we have a program that focuses on talents and talent development, we trust each participant to participate enthusiastically.

Of course, your enjoyment may diminish (for a while), perhaps precisely when learning something you enjoy but find difficult. Initially, we hope that your child perseveres and regains pleasure. In any case, report it to the teacher.

If your child persistently indicates a desire to stop, please unsubscribe at meedoen@lolnaschool.nl. We would also like to hear the reason for stopping. We can use this feedback to improve our activities.

Click on "Contact Us" on our website and ask your question by email (info@lolnaschool.nl).

We will contact you as soon as possible.

We always try to respond as quickly as possible, but the mail is not read every day.

Your child's school (at least the principal) is aware of our program and could answer your question or reach out to us.

At Atolwijk West and Zuiderzeewijk you could contact Wendy van Amsterdam (call or app to 06 42 79 63 59). She is the children's neighborhood worker working in our team. She can help you further with questions or comments. She also helps with registration if you feel comfortable doing so.

We try to have as short lines of communication as possible. Communication goes best directly to the teacher of the activity. There is no phone number for the organizing team.

At Atolwijk West and Zuiderzeewijk , our colleague Wendy van Amsterdam works as a children's community worker. You can contact her there at 06 42 79 63 59.

No, the intention is to enroll from your own school.

However, after the first week you are also allowed to sign up for activities in other districts. However, always mention the school your child attends when signing up (in the drop-down menu).

The program was created by a grant from the Ministry of Education. The additional funds are intended for (most) schools in Lelystad East. Schools that are in Oost but not participating are: Timoteusschool, Free school Lelystad, Helmstok. The reason for this is the rules of the subsidy that the government attached to the program.

If there is no more space you can sign up for the waiting list. As soon as a spot becomes available, the next person on the waiting list will automatically be notified to participate.

There is no cost. We do assume commitment: voluntary does not mean non-committal. If you are signed up, we expect you to be!

Most activities focus on children from grade 5 up. Look carefully at the activity to see who can participate.

We are trying to add several activities for younger children.

If you would like to sign your child up for an after-school activity that is not part of our LOL na School offerings, please contact us and we can help sign your child up for a fun and interesting activity.

Also check our partners' websites to contact them yourself for their already existing offerings.

Some activities are close to a BSO. Some BSOs are able and willing to cooperate. For example, they can bring the children to the activity. Please check with your BSO in advance.

We would like to emphasize that Lol na school is NOT a replacement for BSO. Because we cannot guarantee placement at an activity, it is very unwise to cancel any BSO places.
